Kelly Dougherty is an Iraq war veteran, resource counselor, anti-war organizer, and public health practitioner.

Kelly worked in the Army National Guard for 8 years as a medic and military police person.  After completing a year-long deployment to Iraq in 2004, she helped found Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW).  IVAW was founded as an organization of post-9/11 veterans and service members who called for the immediate end to the occupation of Iraq, reparations for the Iraqi people, and care and services for veterans.  The group, now called About Face: Veterans Against the War, continues to organize against war and militarism.

For her work she has been featured in award-winning documentaries  The Ground Truth (2006) and Soldiers Speak Out (2008).

Kelly has also worked as a public health professional focused on childhood violence and injury prevention, and worked as a counselor at the GI Rights Hotline.  She joined CCW as Counseling Director in March 2026.
